The Ultimate Guide to Rocking Jeans like a Pro

1. Classic Blue Jeans:

You can never go wrong with a pair of classic blue jeans. They’re timeless, versatile, and can be dressed up or down. Pair them with a white tee and sneakers for a casual look, or throw on a chic blouse and heels for a night out.

2. Distressed Denim:

Distressed jeans add an edgy vibe to any outfit. They’re perfect for a laid-back, cool look. Try pairing them with a vintage band tee and some ankle boots. Don't forget a leather jacket to complete that rockstar feel.

3. High-Waisted Jeans:

High-waisted jeans are super flattering and can elongate your legs. Tuck in a cute crop top or a fitted blouse to show off that waistline. They’re great for a retro vibe or a polished, modern look.

4. Skinny Jeans:

In 2024, skinny jeans get a bad rep, but when styled accurately, they can make you stand out. They hug your curves in all the right places and can be paired with almost anything. For a chic look, wear them with a blazer and some pointed-toe flats. For something more casual, go for an oversized sweater and some comfy sneakers.

5. Flared Jeans:

Flared jeans are making a comeback, and they’re perfect for adding a bit of drama to your outfit. Pair them with a tucked-in blouse and some platform heels for a groovy, 70s-inspired look.

6. Boyfriend Jeans:

Oh boyfriend jeans… what did we do without you for so many years? Boyfriend jeans are all about comfort and style. They’re loose, relaxed, and perfect for a casual day out. Pair them with a fitted top to balance out the look, and add some loafers or slip-on sneakers… or just wear absolutely any tight-fitting top and some cool sneakers, I promise this outfit will never fail you.

7. White Jeans:

White jeans are fresh and perfect for summer. They look amazing with bright colors or pastel shades. Try pairing them with a light, airy blouse and some strappy sandals for a chic, summery look.

Remember, the key to rocking jeans is confidence. Find the styles that make you feel amazing, and don’t be afraid to experiment. Happy styling!

TOTE BAG ALERT

Hey there fashion friends! We thought, considering how well-liked all of our Tote Bag Pre-orders have gone, that this week’s fashion blog should be all about bags.

Finding the perfect bag to compliment your outfit can sometimes feel like a major challenge, but fear not! GMM has some tips and tricks to help you navigate this stylish journey. Whether you're dressing up for a fancy dinner or keeping it casual for a day out, the right bag can elevate your look and make a statement.

Know your Occasion

First things first, consider your occasion. A sleek clutch or a small crossbody bag is perfect for formal events, while a roomy tote or a chic backpack is ideal for more casual settings. Think about what you’ll be doing and how much you will need to carry. Let your bag choice flow with your plans. After all, you are the one carrying it, so it should be as functional as possible.

Match or Contrast?

Matching your bag to your outfit can create a cohesive look, but sometimes a contrasting bag can add a pop of excitement. For instance, a bold red bag can stand out against a little black dress, while a neutral bag can tone down a bright, colorful outfit. Don’t be afraid to experiment-fashion is all about expressing yourself!

Size Matters…

(When we are talking bags it does anyway!) The size of your bag should complement your outfit and your needs. A small bag can be a chic accessory for a night out, but for daily use, you might need something more practical. Think about what essentials you need to carry and choose a bag that fits them comfortably. Remember, the right bag should enhance your look, not overwhelm it.

Material and Texture

Different materials and textures can add depth to your outfit. A leather bag can add a touch of sophistication, while a canvas bag can keep things casual and laid-back. Consider the fabric of your clothes and choose a bag that complements it. Mixing textures can be a fun way to add interest to your ensemble.

Pay Attention to Details

Details like hardware, straps, and embellishments can make a big difference. Gold or silver hardware can match your jewelry, while unique straps or embellishments can add a personal touch. The devil is in the details, so choose a bag with features that resonate with your style.

Versatility is Key

If you're looking to invest in a bag, consider one that can transition from day to night or from casual to formal. A versatile bag can save you time and money, and ensure you always have the perfect accessory on hand.

Personal Style

Ultimately, the perfect bag reflects your personal style. Whether you prefer classic pieces or trendy designs, choose a bag that makes you feel confident and fabulous. Your bag is an extension of yourself, so let it tell your story.

Remember, finding the perfect bag is a journey, not a destination. Enjoy the process, experiment with different styles, and most importantly, have fun with fashion!

Happy bag hunting!

Jacie’s Outfits of the Week

This week, we peeked into the daily style choices of Jacie, one of GMM’s fabulous models with impeccable taste in fashion. At nineteen, she is not only rocking the college scene but also our fashion feeds! When asked why she values fashion Jacie said, “I love being able to freely express myself with my outfits. I feel like fashion is so important because it is one of the first things people see when they meet you.” Jacie adds that she is always using her outfits as a form of expression.

Jacie’s Aesthetic

We asked Jacie what she considers her “aesthetic” or style to be. Jacie says that she most resonates with the “Coastal Grandmother” vibe, where she finds the beachy tones of white, blue, and gray to be specifically appealing. Yet, Jacie says that she utilizes different aesthetics and style inspirations depending on how she is feeling that day.

“What is your go-to cozy outfit?”

“I love anything oversized, especially when I am going for a cozier outfit. I’m usually wearing an oversized crewneck with biker shorts or sweat shorts. I often choose to top it off with Nike socks and my Adidas Campus 00s.”

“What do you expect you will wear the most this summer?”

“Honestly and hopefully a bikini! But seriously, a cute bright tank, American Eagle shorts, and my Tevas.”

“Which outfit would you say will never fail you?”

“Whenever I am in a hurry, I always throw on a pair of Motel Rock light-wash blue jeans and a cute top. I absolutely love these jeans and they never fail me. I also love my UGGs, because with the right shirt, the whole outfit can be cute and comfortable.”

Shoals Shop Boutique #1

Happy Monday,

We had an amazing time this past Saturday at the first-ever Shoals Shop Boutique! We got to meet new customers, shop with other stores, try freeze-dried candy for the first time (compliments to Too Sweet Treats by Yvonne Fisher), meet other business owners, and learn more about their passion and drive for doing what they do. What makes events like these so special is that we are all small, locally owned and operated businesses. This means that the people who are checking you out are the same people who are buying inventory, posting on social accounts, and working hard to make their business fit your personal needs.

The importance of shopping small

When you shop small, you are supporting someone in your local community, which not only benefits that business, but also benefits you by boosting your local economy, keeping people employed, and of course, making someone’s passion and hard work pay off.

Vendor run-down

Too Sweet Treats

Too Sweet Treats specializes in freeze-dried candy and they brought their best stuff to SSB this weekend. We got to try freeze-dried nerds gummy clusters, fruit roll-ups, skittles, m&m’s, milk duds, and so much more. Yvonne and her entire family/friends who showed up to help her out were some of the friendliest people we have met. We hope to have them back again soon.

It’s Jelly By Susan Hill

It’s Jelly is a GMM favorite, if you enjoy homemade apple butter, pear preserves, pineapple-jalapeno marmalade, and much more, then you have to check her out online. We met Susan when she and her daughter became returning customers at GMM and eventually learned of her hobby of making these homemade jellies for her family and friends. We are so excited that she has decided to sell these and allow the public to indulge in her craft just like we have.

Enchanted Trinkets

Enchanted Trinkets is an online handcrafted jewelry store, owned and operated by Aislinn Skye Smith. To say Aislinn has a huge variety, would be an understatement. Aislinn has all types of jewelry, especially earrings, for all types of styles and preferences. Look out for her name at the next event we have, you will not be disappointed.

Sew Krazy Boutique

Sew Krazy brought their best to our pop-up event on Saturday. From Stylish Stanley Dupes to faux Gucci belts, they have you covered on all the trends you need to stay on point. They have a wide variety of closet staples and jeans at an amazing price! Shop with them online or at their store, they are so friendly and can help you find exactly what you are looking for.

Wilder Grace Boutique

Wilder Grace Boutique traveled from Loretto, Tennessee to serve the Shoals on Saturday. If you are into bright colors and the top trends, you have got to check them out. Our favorite thing about their store is that their passion doesn’t stop at clothing, their accessories and jewelry are just as eye-catching as their outfits. Check them out if you want to stand out from head to toe.

Kodee Lissa Boutique

Kodee Lissa is THE go-to boutique if you have a bohemian flair, her knack for choosing inventory is unmatched! From eye-catching dresses to the best of the best shorts and accessories, we can assure you that shopping with Kodee Lissa will give you that exciting feeling you get when you buy the perfect outfit.

Gigi’s Trucker Hat Bar

We had no idea how exciting trucker hats could be, Gigi’s Trcuker Hat Bar has an unlimited amount of accessories to add to your own custom hat along with pre-made hats that are to die for. No matter your style, she is sure to make a hat that is perfect and unique to you!

Charlottes in Sheffield

Charlottes were located inside our store this past Saturday and came with a variety of decor, glassware, door-hangers, Volcano candles, Sweet Grace wax melts, and our favorite, Tyler Candle Company Products in a variety of different scents. Our favorite has got to be her wine glasses in colors like hot pink, blue, orange, yellow, mauve, and many more. We hope to see her back again and can’t wait to shop with her soon.

Gholston’s BBQ

Gholston’s BBQ kept everyone extremely well fed this weekend, collard greens, smoked Mac n cheese, nachos, and the best barbecue in the Shoals! We hope they can make it back to our lot soon, if not we will have to track them down like everyone else!

Thank you to all of the vendors, customers, and newfound friends. See you at SSB #2

Love, GMM
